Washington Post’s executive producer for digital news Cory Haik to give news:rewired keynote
Cork Haik will deliver the keynote presentation at news:rewired – full stream ahead on 13 July.
More than 30 news industry innovators will speak on the day, on topics including verification, making digital journalism sustainable, the art of storytelling on social media, mobile, data journalism and community engagement.

Announcing the agenda and additional speakers who will be presenting at news:rewired – full stream ahead, which will take place on 13 July 2012 at MSN HQ, London.
New speakers include Raju Narisetti, managing editor, WSJ Digital Network, Alex Gubbay, director of digital platforms at Johnston Press, Subhajit Banerjee, mobile editor at the Guardian and John Barnes, managing director of the technology and digital division at Incisive Media.
We’re also pleased to confirm Pete Clifton, executive producer of MSN; Martin Fewell, deputy editor of Channel 4 News and Damian Kimmelman, CEO of Duedil.

As tickets have now sold out, what treats are in store for delegates attending the digital journalism conference on Friday, 3 February?
The one-day conference on the latest trends in digital journalism will open with a keynote speech from Liz Heron, social media editor at the New York Times, who will give delegates a taster of social media strategy from across the pond, outlining how the title taps into social networks for newsgathering and community engagement.

Announcing the final session: The future of collaboration in digital journalism
The final session of news:rewired – connected journalism will look at some of the key issues raised in a world of participatory journalism: the “digital-first” mentality, the values and standards of the link economy and the role and responsibilities of journalists and news organisation as active members of the open-web community.
Speakers already confirmed for this session are Steve Herrmann, editor of BBC News Online, and Anthony De Rosa, social media editor at Reuters (via Skype). More speakers will be announced shortly.
