Journalism really needs a shake-up. Audiences don’t automatically believe what they read in the papers or see on the news anymore. More and more people are just switching off from the news altogether and are getting lost in the sea of information.
Meanwhile, we’ve got some big problems on our hands – our democracy’s struggling, the world’s getting more complicated, climate change is a worry, and society’s got its fair share of issues, too.
But people still need to know what’s happening, why it matters, and what they can do about it. That means journalists and editors need to have a good hard think about what they’re doing and how they’re doing it. They’ve got to be honest with themselves and make some tough decisions about how to do things differently. This workshop will show you why.
