Programme updates: Lunchtime workshop and automation session

With one week to go until the next newsrewired conference, the Journalism.co.uk team is pleased to announce two new sessions being added to the programme.

The speaker line-up for our automation session is complete, with speakers from BBC News Labs, Reuters, and Quartz joining us on stage to discuss all about automated processes in the newsroom.

Google News Lab will also be hosting a lunchtime workshop in digital storytelling, from using Google Earth for journalism to when VR should take centre stage.

Announcing the next newsrewired event – 8 February 2017

Journalism.co.uk is pleased to announce the next newsrewired digital journalism conference will take place on 8 February 2017 at Reuters in Canary Wharf, London.

This will be our 18th conference, and as usual, we’re aiming to provide delegates with practical skills and ideas they can take home and explore in their own organisations.

The day will feature a mix of workshops and panel discussions about the latest tools, trends and techniques in digital journalism. We are currently working on the programme and we will be announcing the sessions and the first speakers over the next few weeks.

A limited number of discounted early-bird tickets is available for £130 +VAT until 1 October or until the tickets sell out, whichever comes first – after that, tickets will be available for £180+VAT.

More speakers announced for July’s newsrewired

With two months to go until the next newsrewired digital journalism conference on 20 July in London, the Journalism.co.uk team is pleased to announce experts from Reuters, Al Jazeera, Reveal and Trinity Mirror will be joining our speaker line-up.

With social video, social media newsgathering, podcasting and analytics on the agenda, we’re planning a day full of practical lessons, workflows and insights delegates can take back to their teams and apply in their day-to-day work.

Tickets for the conference on 20 July cost just £165+VAT. You can also purchase a two day ticket, which gives you access to the conference on 20 July and a full day of training on 21 July.

A news:rewired+ ticket to access both days costs £335+VAT, giving delegates an 18 per cent discount on the conference compared to booking tickets separately.
