This workshop explores the current innovations in artificial intelligence (particularly genAI) and their practical applications in journalism. The goal is to gain new knowledge and tools to improve workflows and the quality of news content.
In the first part, we will theoretically address how AI can enrich and optimise newsroom workflows — from information gathering to distribution across various channels. We will present significant case studies, both nationally and internationally, of newsrooms that have successfully implemented artificial intelligence into their work processes.
The second part will take the form of a practical laboratory. After learning the best techniques for leveraging AI as an assistant in the newsroom, you will take part in practical exercises. These will include optimising press releases, news production, SEO optimisation, and interacting with archives. You will also have the opportunity to try out Atex’s AI-driven CMS, MyType, and work on real cases with the support of industry experts.
This workshop is sponsored by Atex.
