We’re pleased to announce NewsWhip as the latest sponsor of news:rewired, Journalism.co.uk’s digital journalism conference.
The one-day event takes place on Friday 20 September at MSN UK’s offices in Victoria, London. The agenda is filled with presentations, demonstrations and practical workshops aimed at sharing the latest techniques and tools for producing the best digital journalism.
Speakers from newsrooms including the Guardian, Wall Street Journal, BBC News, Los Angeles Times, Metro, ITV News and many more, will share their expertise with delegates on the day.
NewsWhip (@newswhip on Twitter) was established in 2011 and aims to help users “find the best news stories online”. Its Spike tool, which is aimed at journalists, delivers “a live ranking of the news that’s emerging and spreading fastest in hundreds of topic and geographical niches”.
NewsWhip chief executive Paul Quigley will join the opening session at news:rewired, which will focus on breaking news and some of the different digital tools journalists can use to find and share the latest updates with their audience.
Fellow panel members also include BBC News social media editor Chris Hamilton and co-founder of CrisisMappersUK and community manager for Ushahidi Justine Mackinnon.
